Low Voltage Main Distribution Products
LY-T Tap-off Box

Product Overview丨
The Tee Junction Box (T Tap-off Box) is a specialized device used in electrical power distribution systems to achieve branch connections of cables. Its primary function is to safely and reliably connect branch cables to a main cable without interrupting or cutting the main power line. The device is named after its typical ""T-shaped"" connection structure.
Functionality:
The T tap-off box allows a main trunk cable to connect with multiple branch cables through a dedicated tap-off structure, without the need to cut or splice the main cable. This avoids the safety risks associated with traditional cable splicing (""cut-and-tap"" methods) and ensures proper insulation, protection, and conductivity at the branch connection point.
Types:
Copper Busbar Tap-off Box
Internally equipped with five busbars: A / B / C / N / PE
The incoming cable connects to the copper bars inside the box
The copper busbars then lead to the outgoing branch cables
Suitable for high-current, high-stability branching applications
Terminal-Type Tap-off Box
No need to cut the main cable
Only partial stripping of the insulation is required to create a connection
Significantly reduces on-site installation time
Available in various specifications based on:
Number of branches (commonly 1–4 ways)
Cable cross-section (e.g., 16–400 mm²)
Offers flexibility for diverse low-voltage distribution scenarios
This type of tap-off box is widely used in residential, commercial, and industrial power distribution systems, especially where quick installation, safety, and compact structure are required for branching power supply.
Protection Degree: IP30~IP54
